Kibbutz Ginosar (and its plantations) is located in the Jordan Valley at the northern-east part of Israel, near the Sea of Galilee. The subtropical climate of the Jordan Valley can be described as hot in the summer, when temperatures can reach 40°C and moderate in the winter, temperatures fluctuate between 4-10°C during the night and 16-22°C in daytime. These climate conditions were found to be favorable for bananas and they allow Ginosar to keep producing fruit all year around.

Ginosar Agro operates an innovative tissue culture laboratory, as well as hardening facilities, nurseries and offices.

We have plantations on several sites all over Israel, in order to be close to our clients and avoid long distances transport of the plants.

Our main export product is our elite quality banana initiations delivered to labs, for them to further multiply, grow and sell to local farmers or abroad as hardened quality plants at lower price to our projects in Africa and Asia.

One of Ginosar Agro's important missions is to provide reliable agricultural management and consulting services, from location of plots and soil preparation and market research through superb growing standards, to post-harvest treatment, packaging and marketing.
